Scope
Project Thinking On Design is the first shared Routledge Book Series co-created with the CIAUD_Research Center for Architecture, Urbanism and Design, based at the Lisbon School of Architecture (FA-ULisboa). The Series focuses on the theory and praxis underneath creative processes in Architecture, Urbanism, and Design from both contemporary and historic perspectives. It provides the reader with the latest investigations and contributions in these fields and, by making these studies available to the global academic community (offering immediate open access to its content as an e-book).
Open Access Policy
This Series is provided immediate open access to its content as an e-book. The books are also available for purchase in printed format in grayscale.
Peer Review Process
Project Thinking On Design Series has a two-stage peer review process. An initial evaluation by the Commissioning Editors is followed by a second one which consists in the assessment by Independent Referees. At least three respected academic specialists are called to provide an independent advice on the content, quality and potential market for a finished book based on the proposal. This process should take 6-8 weeks. Once the editor has received the reviews, he may decide to recommend that Routledge offer a contract for the book. This involves the editor preparing a proposal – that includes synopsis, intended content and market information, the referees' reports, and projected production costs and revenues - to present to the editorial board for final approval, rejection, or provisionally passed, subject to certain revisions.
